I couldn't have put it better myself: the score for the co-op fishing game The One Fish is inspired “by the sounds of a simpler era in gaming,” writes American composer Garrett Williamson on the album's Bandcamp page. It's hard to be any more accurate, as the OST condenses, across a brisk half-hour, the very essence of what one might call "Wii Music."
Sitting halfway between quirky '80s pop and vintage American mall muzak, the soundtrack to The One Fish only disappoints on a single front: track lengths—rare are the cuts that stretch past the two-minute mark. Anyhoo, consider this particular fish hooked.
