As innocent and focused as a kid with their tongue out, carefully coloring inside the lines with markers scattered around them, the score for Woodo just landed across all streaming platforms. Composer Don Roberts is expected to release the album on his Bandcamp page later today—I'll update the player above when it goes live!
Remarkably, Woodo marks Roberts' first foray into video game scoring. Way to go, Don! The Missouri-based composer opened up about his career and his journey working with Tiny Monks Tales in a heartfelt Instagram post in which he reveals he nearly walked away from music entirely in 2018 after suffering a severe burnout. The thousands of players who fell for Woodo's tactile visuals and playful tunes are certainly glad he returned to the craft. “Deep down, I knew it was a childhood dream of mine to compose music for games,” Roberts shared.
Looking for something even more hypnotic to sink into? I've had the mesmerizing soundtrack to over the hill on heavy rotation lately. It's wild how a low-poly off-roading game can lock you into such a serene flow state.
