Tracking new VGM releases since 2022

The unapologetic Stupid Never Dies OST hits streaming just in time for launch

The 80-track score channels all the raw punk energy you would expect from a Rei Kondoh joint.

The day has finally come for Stupid Never Dies. Warmly received by players who sank their teeth into last month's demo, GPTRACK50's debut title launches today on PC and PS5. Doing right by VGM enthusiasts, the soundtrack has already hit streaming services. Check the embed above to pick your platform of choice!

Helmed by veteran Capcom composer Rei Kondoh (Bayonetta, Okami, Devil May Cry), the score packs 80 high-octane tracks tailored to fuel the chaos as you carve through waves of enemies. Fellow T's Music Sound Team members Yuta Yamaguchi, Haruno Ito, and Varon Chase Bantug also contribute to the genre-spanning tracklist. One look at the key art tells you everything you need to know: Stupid Never Dies is an unapologetic, punk-infused roguelike with a soundtrack to match. That said, critics are not entirely sold. The game left a lukewarm impression across the board, hovering around the 70 mark on OpenCritic when reviews dropped earlier this week.

Do not let middling review scores rain on your parade, though. Even if GPTRACK50's freshman outing leaves room for improvement, the soundtrack still delivers. And if that is not your jam, you will surely find something to love among our roundup of the latest standout VGM releases.
