As someone who grew up on titles like Quake and Half-Life, SPRAWL definitely struck a chord back in 2023. It was a product of its era, arriving right in the middle of a boomer shooter renaissance—read: unapologetically nostalgic first-person shooters. Now comes the sequel, bluntly titled SPRAWL zero, once again (mostly) single-handedly crafted by Carlos "REVEL" Lizarraga.
Drawing inspiration from seminal shooters like F.E.A.R., the original Halo, and Half-Life 2, SPRAWL zero lets you blast through desolate urban sprawls, slow time to line up the perfect shot, and wall-jump with acrobatic grace while painting the pavement crimson. Musically, SPRAWL zero is a direct evolution of the first game's DNA. Punchier and more melodic, it constantly pours fuel on the fire, driving you forward through a proverbial sea of shotgun shells. The SPRAWL zero soundtrack anchors itself in early-2000s club culture, dialed up into something darker, grittier, and far more intricate. It sounds like a rave cut straight out of Zion in The Matrix.
Mark my words: this is easily one of the best techno soundtracks of 2026, and it's now streaming worldwide on your preferred platform.
