Nintendo just wrapped up its dedicated Direct kicking off the 40th anniversary celebrations for The Legend of Zelda franchise. The showcase delivered an extended look at The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, alongside a November 5 release date exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. To mark the occasion, the Nintendo Music app is hosting an early preview of the game's main theme, which you can listen to right here if you're a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber.
Clocking in at a brief 90 seconds, the track will serve as the game's title screen theme in just under two months. Much like the recent Star Fox remake, the score for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake has been completely rearranged and rerecorded to deliver a more cinematic feel than ever before.
Speaking of music, Nintendo also announced a worldwide concert tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its iconic franchise.
The stars are aligning, as these announcements arrive just a week after the first buyers of the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild vinyl box set began receiving their orders. I was personally hoping for a few more soundtrack reveals during this Nintendo Direct, but my wallet is definitely breathing a sigh of relief!
