The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask hits Nintendo Music

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask hits Nintendo Music

Nintendo's 40th anniversary celebrations for Zelda roll on with the streaming release of one of the franchise's darkest soundtracks.

With less than a month to go before the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time arrives on Switch 2 (check out the first musical preview here), Nintendo is keeping the franchise's 40th anniversary festivities going by bringing the original soundtrack to The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask to Nintendo Music today. All 111 tracks are available to stream right now via the app and official website (active Nintendo Switch Online subscription required).

Released in 2000 in the slipstream of Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask remains unforgettable thanks to its ingenious time-loop mechanics. On composing duties, maestro Koji Kondo was naturally back at the helm, joined here by Toru Minegishi. The Majora's Mask score stands out with darker, distinctly fatalistic undertones that capture the urgency and creeping dread looming over Termina—the mirror realm to Hyrule where Link's surreal adventure unfolds.

As usual with Nintendo Music, listeners can dive into the exhaustive soundtrack or queue up a 61-track curated selection put together by Nintendo, which naturally features the unforgettable "Clock Town".

Beyond the impending launch of the long-awaited remake of the highest-rated video game of all time, the Zelda franchise has also been making headlines lately with an ambitious orchestral world tour kicking off in London in April 2027. Get all the tour details here.
