After a brief pause last week, Nintendo is back at it with its music streaming platform. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers received an alert this morning announcing that the soundtrack to the 2026 Star Fox remake is now available on Nintendo Music. Released last June, Star Fox offers a full reimagining of the 1997 classic Star Fox 64 (known as Lylat Wars in Europe). Alongside overhauled visuals and refined mechanics, it delivers an ambitious symphonic score led by British-American composer Stephen Barton (Apex Legends, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor).
The results sound remarkable. Standout cues like "Corneria" punch harder than ever, driven by lush orchestral arrangements and crystalline mastering that brings every section of the orchestra into sharp relief. Tracked at London's historic Abbey Road Studios, this score stands toe-to-toe with Hollywood blockbusters without losing the punchy melodic identity longtime fans hold dear.
