After a couple of (relatively) low-stakes releases, Nintendo is bringing out the big guns. Almost exactly one year after its launch, the soundtrack to Pokémon Legends: Z-A is now playing on Nintendo Music (Nintendo Switch Online subscription required).
Whether you choose to dive into the complete 114-track OST or cherry-pick the highlights via the curated playlist is entirely up to you. Either way, you’re in for a treat: Pokémon Legends: Z-A boasts some of the franchise's finest music, thanks to the sheer talent of a sound team that includes Hiromitsu Maeba, Shota Kageyama, Junichi Masuda, Shinji Hosoe, Teruo Taniguchi, Morikazu Aoki, Hitomi Sato, Ayako Saso, Minako Adachi, Takahiro Eguchi, Rei Murayama, and Hitoshi Okamoto.
Ranging from iconic, high-octane battle cues to laid-back, funk-laced jazz fusion beats, it has a little bit of everything—and almost tempts me to impulse-buy the damn game. The power of music, right?
In other VGM news, don’t miss out on the new GTA VI single composed by Justice, featuring French techno producer Gesaffelstein.
