Nintendo definitely loves to surprise us. While its new releases had been coming out on Fridays for the past few weeks, it's now back to the original schedule, and in a big way. Expected for a year (the game was released with the Switch 2 last June), the Mario Kart World soundtrack is finally available on Nintendo's streaming service.
But that's not all. The Japanese company is taking advantage of the (almost) first anniversary of its latest console to drop a major update for Nintendo Music. From now on, the app is also available on tablets, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay… and on web browsers! Yes, you can now enjoy the entire Nintendo Music catalog from your computer at this address.
Featuring 130 tracks, the Mario Kart World soundtrack has been widely praised by fans since the game's release, to the point that it is by far the most requested OST by Nintendo Music subscribers. As a reminder, a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required to access the service. The publisher says on the OST's page that more tracks from the free roam mode will be coming regularly.
Composed by Maasa Miyoshi, Takuhiro Honda, and Yutaro Takakuwa, the music for Mario Kart World is performed by the Mario Kart Band, who also worked on the previous installment, Mario Kart 8. Here are the different members, as listed on VGMdB.
