Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Vol. 3 OST hits Spotify alongside major update

Earlier today, we were discussing the (fake) similarities between Tomodachi Life and Animal Crossing. Well, here’s a worthy successor to the latter. Originally released as an Apple Arcade exclusive, this life sim populated by Sanrio characters is now available on almost every platform. Today, it’s getting a major new update called "City Town."

American composer Phil Boucher is back at it, taking this opportunity to release the third volume of the OST across all platforms. We’re a long way from the soothing calm of Animal Crossing; this soundtrack is a bit sugarier and poppier. At times, it reminded me of J.J. Ipsen and Jim Guthrie’s work on the incredible Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo scores (I’m not kidding—those two soundtracks are absolute marvels!).

I’m stoked that Phil Boucher is keeping up his habit of tucking a metal track into the Hello Kitty soundtrack. I’ll let it be a surprise for you—brace yourselves, though!
