Fast Fusion's soundtrack is worthy of being featured in an F-Zero game

It is one of the Switch 2 launch exclusives that everyone forgot a bit too quickly. Fast Fusion, the successor to Fast RMX and still developed by Shin'en Multimedia (the studio behind The Touryst!), claims to be—not unlike a certain buried Nintendo franchise—"the fastest racing game" out there.

I'll let the people who actually played it judge that for themselves. As far as I'm concerned, I had an absolute blast discovering the soundtrack, co-created by the franchise's previous composer, Bjulin, joined here by Francisco Cerda—a Chilean composer whose Protocorgi OST I absolutely loved.

As the title of this article suggests, you can find plenty of traces of F-Zero GX, one of the very last installments of the cult franchise that Nintendo fans are dying to see return. While it obviously doesn't quite match the genius of its inspiration, the two composers offer up a catchy, neo-retro techno that would fit perfectly into a wild DJ set. Either way, it makes me want to dance!

Maybe this will help pass the time while we wait for Nintendo to finally deign to upload the missing F-Zero OSTs to Nintendo Music?
