The 33 Immortals soundtrack is like a stripped-down version of God of War, and I'm all for it

We have to face facts: Spiritfarer was an anomaly in Thunder Lotus's career. While many players were put off by how combat-heavy 33 Immortals is, you have to step back a bit to realize that the cozy, wholesome grave keeper game is actually the one that stands out. Anyway, all this to say that after spending a little over a year in Early Access, this 33-player co-op rogue-like is finally available in version 1.0 on PC and Xbox Series.

I must admit, I am more of a Spiritfarer fan than a Sundered one. So, 33 Immortals doesn't really appeal to me all that much. However, it is impossible for me to skip a new OST by Max LL. The Montreal-based composer is following the trend, delivering a soundtrack that is radically different from the studio's previous game. Hellish, in the literal sense of the word, it relies on guttural choirs that instantly made me think of God of War. Yet, Maxime Lacoste-Lebuis's music is less martial and, surprisingly, features very little percussion. It is an unexpected approach to the genre, but no less fascinating.

Already available for streaming for almost a year, the 33 Immortals OST gets six new tracks to celebrate the game's 1.0 release.
