Neverness to Everness (NTE) is the new hit gacha game from Hotta Studio, the creators behind Tower of Fantasy. Launched internationally just last week, it is already printing money. This urban-inspired open-world action RPG draws inspiration in some aspects from Zenless Zone Zero, made by rival company HoYoverse, but wins players over mainly through its rich side activities—despite a very pronounced "casino" feel.
I have to admit, I keep a very close ear on what's happening musically in Chinese gacha games. There is often some pretty amazing stuff going on, even if this first compilation of trendy electronic tracks feels pretty harmless. I will be following the game's trajectory with great interest; I already appreciate the wide variety of styles featured here (Pop, Chillhop, Jazz, Hip Hop, EDM, Metal…).
