The wait is finally over for fans of Toby Fox's work. As announced during the last Nintendo Direct, the antepenultimate chapter of the Undertale spin-off drops today on all platforms. True to form, the jack-of-all-trades developer is also releasing the companion soundtrack on all streaming platforms via Materia Collective.
This means a new 40-track compilation, with a relatively compact runtime of just one hour of music. It features the composer's usual hallmarks, as he manipulates MIDI like nobody else and has fun weaving in the iconic leitmotifs of his magnum opus here and there. This new musical effort also features guest appearances, such as Japanese producer Camellia (rhythm game fans will appreciate this), saxophonist insaneintherainmusic, pianist Trevor Alan, and more.
Toby Fox seems to have hit his stride with Deltarune, and we can hope to welcome the final chapter in the summer of 2028, a full 10 years after the release of the first episode.
