Arena Net and Materia Collective have finally released the soundtrack for the annual Super Adventure Festival event in the MMORPG Guild Wars 2. It's a retro departure from the otherwise serious world of this fantasy RPG, taking the form of a zany, pixelated dungeon… with a naturally 8-bit soundtrack!
A regular contributor to the franchise, Lena Raine (Celeste, Chicory) composed several of the 32 tracks on this new album. Composers Maclaine Diemer, Joe Clark, Keenan Sieg, Emmanuel Lagumbay and Outset Initiative are also credited. These are essentially "demake" versions of iconic tracks from the game’s OST, as the title prepares to celebrate 14 years of service this coming August 28th.
