Three years after its launch, Mundfish’s ambitious single-player FPS is welcoming its fourth and final DLC, Blood on Crystal. This expansion is set to lay the groundwork for Atomic Heart 2—a sequel that was already announced during the last Summer Game Fest.
Naturally, the studio is seizing the opportunity to release a new collection of tracks to flesh out the OST. Atomic Heart, Vol. 6 is now available for streaming, staying true to tradition with a diverse range of styles and numerous guest features. Among the familiar faces, fans will recognize guitarist Geoffrey Day and producer Boogrov.
Even though I didn't have the best time playing the game, I still have immense admiration for Atomic Heart’s musical direction, and I always enjoy discovering the new tracks. Although the game partially made a name for itself through its collaboration with Mick Gordon (Doom), Mundfish has managed to give its FPS a unique and original sonic identity.
This new soundtrack arrives just weeks after the French label Kid Katana announced pre-orders for a vinyl release, expected this summer. Due to scheduling conflicts, these new tracks will not be part of the vinyl's tracklist.
