An often-overlooked episode (as it was relatively minor) of the franchise, Ace Combat Infinity was a PlayStation 3 free-to-play title whose run lasted from 2013 to 2018, when Bandai Namco shut down its servers. The game was generally poorly received by the gaming press and players alike, who mainly criticized the fact that the most engaging content was locked behind microtransactions. A product of its time. Today, Bandai is continuing to unearth the franchise's soundtracks with a very short four-track OST, composed however by the studio's heavy hitters, who are also known for their work on Ridge Racer.
This release comes amidst a major catalog cleanup at Bandai Namco, which has been very active since the beginning of the year with surprise releases of soundtracks from its back catalog. In fact, this is already the fifth album from the Ace Combat franchise to be released on Spotify and other platforms since early 2026, following Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception, Ace Combat Joint Assault, Ace Combat Assault Horizon, and Assault Horizon Legacy.
