This might be the swan song for the French studio Big Bad Wolf, which is releasing its Lovecraftian thriller today against the backdrop of insolvency for its publisher, Nacon. Regardless, the game boasts an exceptional orchestral soundtrack, composed by Nicolas Garcia and recorded by the stunning Budapest Scoring Orchestra.
Star cellist Tina Guo is a featured artist on the OST, lending a dramatic touch to tracks that would otherwise be more ambient-focused. It’s a long album, and while not every track is memorable, some of them remind me of the ethereal melancholy found in Elden Ring’s exploration themes. There are certainly worse influences to have.
