Dive into the haunting atmosphere of the Looking for Fael soundtrack

The latest OST from 'Stray' composer Yann Van Der Cruyssen hits streaming.

Your roommate calls you in a panic: they're lost... inside your own apartment, or so they say. An intriguing premise, somewhere between Blue Prince and House of Leaves, for the latest game from ARTE France, Swing Swing Submarine, and La Poule Noire. A "knowledgevania," as they call it, releasing today on PC—and you can already enjoy its original soundtrack, composed by Yann Van Der Cruyssen. A name you probably recognize if you played Stray.

The French composer (whom we also heard earlier this year in Hozy) reconnects with several of his favorite styles here. On one side, highly melancholic piano tracks; on the other, haunting electronic tracks that I assume are tailored for puzzle-solving moments. You immediately recognize some of the composer’s signature sounds—who also goes by the moniker Morusque for certain projects (most notably Tetrobot & Co). A lovely 20-track album that wraps up with a sweet French pop song performed by singer Billie Bird.
