Tracking new VGM releases since 2022

As Season 1 Draws to a Close, Riot Games Drops the ‘For Demacia’ Soundtrack for League of Legends

As Act II of League of Legends’ first 2026 season draws to a close at the end of April, Riot Games has released a new album featuring themes and background music dedicated to Demacia.

This richly orchestrated album is once again led by the relentless J.D. Spears, highlighted by the single 'Salvation' featuring singer Forts. The project also includes a contribution from the legendary Peter McConnell (Grim Fandango, Hearthstone) on the track 'For the Fallen.'

Starting in 2025, League of Legends has ditched its old annual format for a more dynamic approach featuring three distinct seasons per year, each split into two Acts. Every season now revolves around a specific narrative theme, like the current Demacia-focused arc, which brings along map changes, lore updates, and a simplified Seasonal Pass.
