Come for the pretty faces, stay for the music. Like so many other gachas of its kind, Break My Case is primarily out for your money. That being said, the studio coly quickly reinvests that cash into something that speaks to me deeply: the music. I will say this as calmly as possible: Break My Case has some of the most impressive music you'll ever hear in a video game — let alone a mobile game.
I was already blown away last year by the release of volume 8 of the OST, especially with two prog rock tracks that straight-up reference Polyphia. Volumes 9 and 10, however, dive headfirst into an impeccable acid jazz, neo-soul, and funk vibe, conjuring up a sonic whirlwind where Persona, VA-11 HALL-A, and Jamiroquai meet. You absolutely have to listen to this.
