A little over a year after the release of the first 3LP dedicated to the music of Ultrakill, iam8bit is at it again, launching pre-orders for Ultrakill Act 2: Imperfect Hatred. This new 3LP (also available on CD) features magma-orange tones and is expected in Q3 2026. Pre-orders will close on June 1st, and it will set you back $69. In Europe, the vinyl is listed at €74 via Black Screen Records.
Ultrakill’s Act 2 descends deeper into the pits of Hell than its predecessor, casting players into perfectly polygonal levels filled with bedlam, blood, and bullets. Everything you loved about Act 1 returns, ratcheted up to unreal heights: The combat is silky smooth. The level designs are fine-tuned tributes to Ultrakill’s venerated inspirations. And of course, the music is all the more audacious, in-your-face, and kick-ass.
Breakcore mad genius Heaven Pierce Her returns for the game’s sophomore chapter, bringing even more chill beats and raucous uproaring themes to the table. Gorgeous piano riffs and sick drum breaks abound in Act 2’s unholy libretto. It must be heard to be believed.
Turn away, ye nonbelievers: We at iam8bit have teamed up with developer Hakita and publisher New Blood Interactive to spread the good word of Ultrakill’s melodies. This is the Ultrakill Act 2: Imperfect Hatred 3xLP, three blessed discs filled with the music of Ultrakill’s middle chapter and pressed on vivid, marbled Sun Burst vinyl. And just like our Act 1 release, the jacket features jaw-dropping spot gloss work — a special exaltation of Francis Xie’s heretically magnificent album art.
