It looks like The Witcher, it smells like The Witcher, and it sounds like The Witcher. Color us unsurprised. The first four singles released today by composers Mikolaj Stronski, Piotr Musiał, and Nikola Kołodziejczyk feel like slipping into a comfortable pair of old slippers.
That shouldn’t come as a shock, given that these composers—much like the rest of the Polish studio’s team—are CD Projekt Red alumni. These first tracks offer an exciting glimpse into the musical identity of Rebel Wolves' upcoming action RPG, all featuring violinist Karolina Matuskiewicz. You know exactly what you’re getting into from the first note.
Still, I find these initial tracks have an intriguing personality that already leaves me hungry for more. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I’d like to think we’re in for a pretty remarkable OST. Either way, it’s in good hands.
Expected this year on PC and consoles, The Blood of Dawnwalker doesn't have an official release date yet. Hopefully, we’ll learn more during the Summer Game Fest this coming June. Meanwhile, you can already add those tracks to your daily playlists on your favorite streaming platform.
