Jeistar never does things by the book. The New York-based developer, best known for Liminal Void and Landmine Princess, released NO ENTRY earlier this year—a nightclub bouncer sim wrapped in his signature aesthetic. Think Papers, Please on ketamine, filtered through the low-poly lens of a beat-up original PlayStation: the game is as vulgar as it is captivating, serving up a parade of characters only big-city nightlife could spit out.
A true jack-of-all-trades, the developer composed the soundtrack himself, delivering what is arguably his best album to date. Hyperactive, uncompromising, abrasive yet inspiring, the score zigzags through breakcore, metal, hyperpop, new wave, and beyond. Spiritually, it feels a bit as if rj lake took over the Neon White OST (and speaking of which, don't miss the UNBEATABLE soundtracks, now available for streaming).
