Laced Records announces vinyl release for souls-like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Laced Records continues to treat us, adding another top-tier reference to its growing catalog. Not content with having the exclusive rights to the Bloodborne vinyl, the British label has announced that pre-orders are now open for one of its most serious successors.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was released last year to critical and fan acclaim alike. Developed by the Chinese studio Leenzee, the game actually released its OST on all streaming platforms last month. As you’d expect, it’s a highly orchestral soundtrack featuring many traditional Chinese instruments. The tracklist includes heavy atmospheric pieces and thunderous boss themes—a score that I personally found more successful than the one for Black Myth: Wukong.

This release will highlight 29 of the most notable tracks from the original score. The vinyl is priced at £36 and is scheduled for a September release. As per usual, it should be available through all the standard retailers. The full OST, available on Spotify and other platforms, features 56 tracks in total.

Laced Records has been ramping up announcements lately, having just revealed an upcoming vinyl release for Dave the Diver. However, the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers announcement comes at a bit of a strange time for the developers; we learned late last week that the team has apparently been dissolved and reassigned to other projects.
