It's one of 2025's most acclaimed indie titles — despite only being available on Steam. Developed in Quebec by Francis Coulombe and published by Devolver, Look Outside is a retro horror RPG that blends turn-based combat with surprising finesse. Garnering nearly 10,000 positive reviews on Steam and a Metascore above 80, it has cultivated a dedicated fanbase, largely thanks to its soundtrack inspired by late '80s 16-bit classics.
Composed by game creator Francis Coulombe alongside Eric Shumaker, Noncollision Obj, and Jacob J. Ritz, the original soundtrack was previously available for purchase on Steam. This new release across streaming platforms — including Spotify, Apple Music, Qobuz, and Tidal — comes with two bonus tracks not included in the original Steam release.
It marks another strong addition to the Laced Records catalog, which is handling digital distribution for the Look Outside OST. The album should also drop on Bandcamp later today — just in time for Bandcamp Friday!
