Don't trust everything you see on social media. Since the GTA VI extended gameplay trailer dropped yesterday, I've seen a flurry of low-effort, misleading posts on what songs were actually showcased. Let me set things right with the actual list of featured songs we've heard so far.

Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. While few details have been shared yet regarding the featured music and original soundtrack, I'd wager we're looking at something historic here. Previous GTA entries weren't shy about striking incredible licensing deals with major labels, even bringing in famous guest composers like Tangerine Dream, The Alchemist, Tyler, The Creator, Flying Lotus, and more. It's safe to say Rockstar aims to go off the charts with GTA VI, and I'm sure the complete setlist will easily surpass Forza Horizon 6 in terms of track count.
As for the original score, details remain scarce. However, judging by the shooting and chase sequences in the trailer, longtime collaborator Woody Jackson seems to be back on board for GTA VI, perhaps alongside Michael Hunter, who composed the unforgettable theme for Grand Theft Auto IV, "Soviet Connection".
In other video game music news, today brought an unstoppable wave of new releases, with Sony dropping soundtracks for both Marvel Tōkon and the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine on streaming platforms.
