Today marks the big day for French studio Wild Wits (Crown Gambit), which launches its new roundtable management RPG Sovereign Tower on PC—once again elevated by Gobert's marvelous art direction. Presented like a visual novel, the game challenges players to recruit knights with diverse aspirations (and oversized egos) and dispatch them across the countryside to spread the realm's glory.
The soundtrack, available now on all streaming platforms, is composed by Nicolas Gaborel, who seems even more inspired than on Crown Gambit. Gaborel had the brilliant idea to team up with the incredible Hildegard von Blingin' to bring a distinct bardcore flavor to several songs. While having the singer on more tracks would have been a treat, the two previews shared ahead of launch by G4F Records serve as a fantastic entry point into the vibrant universe crafted by Wild Wits.
The original soundtrack of Sovereign Tower immerses players in a strikingly authentic medieval world torn between celebration and warfare. Faithful to the spirit of the Middle Ages, each track tells the story of a bygone era.
Two tracks stand out thanks to the spellbinding vocals of bardess Hildegard von Blingin', delivering melodies worthy of the grandest courts and taverns. Throughout the album, the atmosphere swings between the festive warmth of banquets and the raw tension of the battlefield, evoking mud, clashing steel, and the epic fury of combat.
