This is one concert I regret missing every single day, especially after scrolling through endless Instagram stories from fans who were actually there. Just under two months after the event took place, Blizzard Entertainment has released Diablo: The Infernal Symphony across all major streaming platforms—the complete live recording of the June 6 show at London’s Southbank Centre Royal Festival Hall. Currently available for streaming only, it should soon join Blizzard's Bandcamp catalog if you're looking to own a copy of this gem for your personal collection.
Performed by the London Mozart Players, the recording runs just over an hour and a half, split across eight sprawling movements. Each acts as a flawlessly executed medley tracing the franchise's musical history, from the original Diablo all the way to the latest expansion, Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred (and I highly recommend checking out the behind-the-scenes video—it's fantastic).
Given that Blizzard previously released a vinyl box set for the 20th-anniversary World of Warcraft concert, I sincerely hope this Infernal Symphony gets the same treatment. The track arrangement is masterfully crafted, building a spine-chilling narrative through heretical choirs and gut-wrenching strings.
