I’m not going to lie—I’ve never been the biggest fan of Electro-swing. It usually makes me feel like I’m stuck at a party surrounded by people I’d rather avoid. So, when Fumi Games announced that the French band Caravan Palace would be contributing a track to the Mouse: P.I For Hire soundtrack, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical.
However, after giving the track a listen, I have to say—it actually works! As you’d expect from the French quartet, it’s a high-energy song that perfectly complements the "rubber hose" aesthetic of this black-and-white Doom-like.
While I’m still mostly excited to hear Patryk Scelina full score, I have to give it to them: this Caravan Palace single isn't half bad and fits the game’s vibe surprisingly well.
Mouse: P.I For Hire is set to launch on PC and consoles on April 16th. For the collectors out there, a vinyl release has already been confirmed by Mondo.
