Tracking new VGM releases since 2022

1000xRESIST makes its debut on Spotify and more (but you’ll have to wait a little longer for the whole thing)

Good things come to those who wait. Nearly two years after the game's release, a few iconic tracks from 1000xRESIST have finally landed on all streaming platforms. This is the Fixer’s Song EP, composed by Drew Redman and performed by Alex Mah.

Until today, the music from Sunset Visitor's game was only available on Bandcamp, Steam, and on vinyl courtesy of Very Ok Vinyl. I don't know yet if the rest of the game's rich soundtrack will make it to Spotify and company, but the creation of the artist profile "sunset visitor 斜陽過客" on these platforms for the EP's release is definitely a strong sign. I have reached out to the studio to learn more, and will update this article accordingly if I get any updates.

Spanning 85 tracks, the 1000xRESIST soundtrack features wonderful piano melodies and hypnotic electronic tracks that guide players on their quest for truth.

Released in 2024, 1000xRESIST instantly made it into my top three favorite video games. Its music has a lot to do with it—so much so that I had the chance to interview its two composers, Drew Redman and Line Katcho. The duo will also be back for the studio's next game, Prove You’re Human, which has been showcased several times over the last few weeks.
