Well, this came out of nowhere. On Thursday, Polish label Game Music Records announced the upcoming release of three beloved soundtracks from Hitoshi Sakimoto's studio, Basiscape. *Unicorn Overlord*, *13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim*, and *13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Remix & Arrange* are all landing on vinyl in Q1 2027\. [Pre-orders are open now](https://gamemusicrecords.com/shop/?product%5Fcat=vinyl), and a bundle collecting all three releases is available at a 15% discount (€193).

We're looking at some serious deluxe pressings. Housed in a collector's box featuring original artwork from Vanillaware, each LP is pressed on 180g vinyl. Game Music Records emphasizes that this is a strict limited run with no repressing planned for the time being.

Naturally, these vinyl editions won't feature every cue from the games. The *13 Sentinels* OST spans 83 tracks, but this release will curate 32 highlights. The same goes for *Unicorn Overlord* (40 tracks), while the *13 Sentinels: Remix & Arrange* LP clocks in four tracks shorter than its digital and CD counterparts (which have long been available).

> Commissioned to celebrate Hitoshi Sakimoto’s 40th anniversary in the music industry, this soundtrack release – alongside the rest of released scores – is the definitive way to experience the musical heritage of both Basiscape and the maestro himself. As a true limited edition, no future reprints will be produced.

Last year, Basiscape finally rolled out most of its catalog across major streaming services. If you aren't familiar with Sakimoto and his team's work, give them a proper spin before adding these gorgeous box sets to your shelves!

It's great to see Game Music Records ramping up production. The outfit, which also runs the annual Game Music Festival (the latest edition celebrated Basiscape alongside [*Diablo* and *Hades*](https://nowplaying.cool/hell-never-sounded-so-good-watch-the-hades-ballads-of-the-underworld-concert-now/) showcases), seems to be hitting its stride with vinyl. Earlier this year, the label dropped a fantastic *Kingdom Come: Deliverance II* box set, which, surprisingly, is [still available right here](https://gamemusicrecords.com/product/kingdom-come-deliverance-2-vinyl-box-set-pre-order/).
