Tracking new VGM releases since 2022

Turn-based RPG musical 'People of Note' is out, and its soundtrack is streaming globally

It’s a bit of a strange strategy from Annapurna Interactive, who dropped the original songs from the Iridium Studios game a few days ago, only to follow up today with the score by Big Giant Circles (Mass Effect, Borderlands, Call of Duty). Anyway, everything is now available to stream, totaling about 90 tracks spanning a wide range of styles.

This is hardly surprising for such a vibrant musical RPG, which follows the rise of fictional singer Cadence on her path to stardom. Somewhere between We Are OFK and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (if you squint hard enough), People of Note seems to be finding its audience already, with around a hundred positive reviews on Steam.

Personally, I have to admit I wasn't really feeling the songs in the first album. I’m hoping to be more into the tracks by Big Giant Circles!
