This time, TOBACCO delivered on his promise. And rightly so—the OST for the first High on Life was also supposed to have two volumes, but the second one never saw the light of day. Two months after the release of the zany FPS, the Pennsylvania-based musician is back at it with 33 additional tracks that are as otherworldly as ever.
I actually find the album works incredibly well outside of the game—provided you enjoy that slightly grimy electronic style, of course. Much like the rather "conceptual" artwork, TOBACCO's music is gritty, shambolic, and deranged, but never vulgar. It’s a bit like if Boards of Canada had laced their LSD with a heavy dose of cocaine.
