A solo project by jack-of-all-trades apprentice dev Leah Marie Butcher, *Rail Spirits* is, as the name suggests, a rail shooter with a roguelike twist that is [still in very early development](https://autumnaton.com/rail-spirits/). Likely to get some initial feedback, the programmer released the first tracks from her game on streaming platforms this week under the alias "left mouse button." I loved it. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it’s creative, inspired—drawing heavily from *Stranger Things*\-style synthwave, John Carpenter, and the like. It’s rare that I stumble upon such polished debut OSTs, especially for a game that hasn't even launched yet. She's definitely one to watch!
