The variety of situations encountered in a visual novel provides fertile ground for composers to have fun and break away from simple ambient music. This is a brief taken literally by the musical team led by GITGOT and Pascal van den Bos, which goes off in every direction, so to speak.
I would be hard-pressed to describe the soundtrack of RAKKA: WAKE 01-SOOT in just a few words. You have to think of it as a compilation of tracks from very different backgrounds, ranging from electro to jazz, by way of city pop, reggae, and many other genres. It’s an album that almost deserves to be played on shuffle to highlight its chaotic nature — and I say that with a lot of enthusiasm!
