Capcom is on an absolute roll this year. Following [*Resident Evil: Requiem*](https://nowplaying.cool/resident-evil-requiem-original-soundtrack/), [*PRAGMATA*](https://nowplaying.cool/one-week-and-1-million-sales-later-the-pragmata-ost-hits-spotify-and-more/), and [*Monster Hunter: Stories 3*](https://nowplaying.cool/capcom-drops-massive-102-track-ost-for-monster-hunter-stories-3/), the Japanese publisher is making headlines again with the highly anticipated *Onimusha: Way of the Sword*. The franchise's first new mainline entry in decades—*Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams* launched 20 years ago—arrived on September 4 to rave reviews (holding an 86 on OpenCritic). In classic Capcom fashion, **the soundtrack has just dropped** on all major streaming services. You can listen now on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Qobuz via the embed above.

Spanning 82 tracks across roughly four hours of music, the *Onimusha: Way of the Sword* OST was composed by Daisuke Shinoda (*Atelier Resleriana*), Kota Suzuki (*Onimusha 3*, *RE4*, *DMC5*), Marika Suzuki (*Monster Hunter: Wilds*, *Dead Rising*), Nozomi Ohmoto (*RE4*), and Tomoki Kameyama (*Street Fighter 6*). It features bombastic, high-octane orchestral arrangements engineered to get your blood pumping during the game's relentless boss encounters. Fitting its Edo-period setting, the score prominently weaves in traditional Japanese instrumentation, including the shakuhachi, shamisen, and koto. While I've only scratched the surface via the playable demo (still available on PC and consoles!), I'm eager to dive into the full record with a proper pair of headphones.

As we head into late September, the release calendar is getting stacked: *Marvel's Wolverine* drops tomorrow ([listen to the soundtrack early](https://nowplaying.cool/marvel-wolverine-ps5-ost-out-early/)), with both *Silent Hill: Townfall* and *CONTROL Resonant* right around the corner. And if you missed the news over the weekend, Blizzard also shadow-dropped the iconic OSTs for [*Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos* and its legendary expansion, *The Frozen Throne*](https://nowplaying.cool/warcraft-iii-soundtracks-now-available-to-stream/).
