Thank you everyone for the warm welcome you gave NOWPLAYING during its launch yesterday. It’s truly heartwarming to see the enthusiasm for what might seem like just a simple little niche news blog.
I’d like to give a warm welcome to all the new people discovering my work through this site. I also wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that I host a podcast about video game music. I’ve been recording these monthly mixtapes for three years now. Initially, the goal was just to provide a seamless mix of tracks released over the previous few weeks on streaming platforms. However, since the start of 2026, it has evolved into a full-fledged podcast where I share more details about the songs and the games they come from.
All that to say, I released the latest episode earlier this week, and it’s now available for free on all major podcast platforms—except for Spotify, which has been giving me the cold shoulder for a while now, but I’ll survive!
One small detail that might be important: I host the podcast in French. I know that might be a deal-breaker for some, but rest assured, the heart of the project is still all about discovering music.
