Don't let the somewhat underwhelming name of this narrative card game put you off. Beautifully highlighted by an art style that immediately brings to mind Darkest Dungeon, the game (published last April by Daedelic Entertainment) boasts a soundtrack of unbelievable depth. Driven by a sophisticated orchestration, it serves a heavy, almost desperate atmosphere.
Tom Acrofear is a young Polish composer who is actually making his debut with Magin: The Rat Project. While his music has appeared in commercials and various other projects, this collection of 50 tracks undoubtedly represents the first highlight of a very promising career. While not every tune is a showstopper, Tom avoids the trap of repetitiveness by giving every piece its own identity and intention. As the title suggests, some of these tracks would fit perfectly in a forgotten Diablo opus.
