# Lumines Remastered soundtrack hits streaming just in time for your Friday party

A few months after the soundtrack release of its spiritual successor, [*Lumines Arise*](https://nwpl.ing/lumines-arise), the original *Lumines* is getting a fresh coat of paint. Originally released in 2004 for the PSP and in 2018 for PC and modern consoles, the tile-matching game that laid the groundwork for *Tetris Effect* is hitting mobile. Naturally, it’s the perfect opportunity to finally release its trance soundtrack—composed jointly by Takayuki Nakamura and Katsumi Yokota—across all platforms. Clocking in at 39 tracks and just under two hours of electronic music, the *Lumines* soundtrack has kept its pioneering edge, cementing its place as a true showcase for Sony’s handheld console. Even 22 years later, the sounds crafted by the two producers haven't aged a bit—especially amidst the current Y2K aesthetic revival.
