Just weeks after dropping [some of his finest work yet on *Mina the Hollower*](https://nowplaying.cool/mina-the-hollower-ost-out-now/), veteran composer Jake Kaufman is already back with the complete official soundtracks for *Shovel Knight Dig* and *Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon*. While these companion releases only add a handful of fresh cuts—six new tracks for *Dig* and two for *Pocket Dungeon*—they cement two very different stylistic offshoots of Yacht Club Games' flagship indie franchise.

Stepping away from the traditional platforming of the original *Shovel of Hope*, both spin-offs demanded a shift in musical pacing. *Shovel Knight Dig* trades slow-burn exploration for a frantic, downward-scrolling roguelike descent, and Kaufman's score matches that relentless momentum with punchy, high-energy chiptunes.
