Tracking new VGM releases since 2022

Enjoy three years' worth of VGM playlists—for free

You might not know this if you’re discovering my work through this site, but I’ve been following video game music news since 2022. I share monthly playlists with my Patreon subscribers, adding recent tracks I enjoy as I go. Eventually, I made these playlists public for a couple of reasons: first, because Spotify requires private playlist links to be renewed every seven days—which is unmanageable—and second, to encourage new people to take an interest in my VGM monitoring.

Anyway, all that to say I now have a little over three years of VGM playlists under my belt, which I’d like to share with you today—for free. I’ll spare you the monthly ones and only offer my "Best Of" playlists. These are chronological selections of every track I enjoyed throughout the year.

Just a quick heads-up: the annual playlists are split into two categories. First, the "Best Of" playlist, where I gather tracks from games released during that specific year. Then, there are the "Mega Best Of" playlists, where I add tracks from older games whose soundtracks were only recently made available. You’ll see, it’s less complicated than it sounds, even if it makes a difference of a few thousand tracks when you do the math!

Basically, you have hundreds of listening hours at your fingertips, and I can guarantee you’ll stumble upon things you didn’t even know existed. To enjoy the 2026 monthly playlists, you just need to subscribe to my Patreon—after all, there have to be some perks to supporting me financially!

Oh, one last detail: all my playlists are hosted on Spotify for convenience. I’m well aware of how polarizing the Swedish platform can be, but it remains my best tool for providing an exhaustive look at video game music. Since the playlists are public, feel free to import them via tools like TuneMyMusic or Soundiiz to the platform of your choice. Also, a quick reminder that I have a monthly podcast where I play about twenty tracks I’ve enjoyed over the past few weeks. You can learn more about that format at this address. Happy listening!
