Spanning 13 tracks for about 50 minutes of music, the album shifts effortlessly from ominous, mood-setting drones to blistering boss themes driven by eerie vocal work—none more potent than "Obsessive Compulsive Order." You will undoubtedly do the classic Leo DiCaprio pointing meme the second that cue kicks in during your playthrough. Set in the same connected universe as *Alan Wake* and *Quantum Break*, *CONTROL Resonant* expands Remedy's lore well beyond the brutalist confines of The Oldest House into a full-fledged open-world action RPG. Because players now have far more agency in how they approach their journey, the score had to follow suit. Alanko pulled out all the stops, delivering eerie soundscapes, shape-shifting combat cues, and delicate piano melodies that cut through the surrounding madness. It is stellar work, if you ask me—but I'm a sucker for all things Remedy, so don't take my word for it.
