It’s launch day for the new TT Games title! Batman is back in a full-scale adventure game that feels almost like Rocksteady's titles (who reportedly lent a hand to the British studio on this Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight).
TT Games didn’t look very far for the person in charge of the music. With the studio since 2009, Simon Withenshaw is a true musical chameleon, credited on nearly every LEGO game from the studio since then.
Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter… the composer is comfortable with everything, and proves it once again with this 39-track OST. It's highly orchestral and naturally draws inspiration from the DC hero's entire musical heritage. I have to admit, I’m a big fan of the main theme on this soundtrack—it’s really catchy.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Withenshaw has worked on a Batman game; he was a sound designer on LEGO Batman 2 back in 2012.
