# Ace Combat Zero gets a remastered soundtrack release ahead of Ace Combat 8

Bandai Namco is on a roll as the release of the highly anticipated *Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve* draws near. Following the rollout of both [the game's main theme](https://nowplaying.cool/the-ace-combat-8-main-theme-debuts-on-youtube-ahead-of-its-streaming-release/) and [the recording of the franchise's 30th anniversary concert](https://nowplaying.cool/featuring-20-iconic-tracks-the-ace-combat-s-symphony-celebrates-the-series-30th-anniversary/), the publisher has dropped the soundtrack to the upcoming *Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War* remaster—which arrives as a pre-order bonus for *AC8* next month.

Keen-eared fans already know that the original *The Belkan War* OST has been available on major streaming platforms for around two years. However, this is an entirely new release: dubbed "Remastered 2026", it features modernized recordings of the iconic score—which should help soften the blow of the remaster lacking a full visual overhaul.

The Project Aces sound team also seized the opportunity to reshuffle the tracklist. Fan-favorite centerpiece "ZERO" now kicks off the record, while sequential mission tracks ("Sortie", "Briefing", "Testimony") have been moved toward the tail end of the 45-song album.

“The celebrated 2006 entry ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR is widely regarded as one of the defining titles in the franchise and features the origin story of the ACE COMBAT universe,” says Bandai Namco on its official site. *Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve* is slated for release on October 2, with Deluxe Edition owners securing a three-day head start.
